Welcome Note
The 2nd nine weeks is exciting for the Social Studies department. 8th graders' research on Thanksgiving culminates in the annual Thanksgiving Feast on November 18, 2016, and 7th grade will begin research for the Christmas Around the World project due in December.
Announcements/Upcoming Projects or Events
1. Thanksgiving projects for the 8th grade research presentations are due on November 18, 2016.
2. The Thanksgiving Feast will be held in the Denman Library on November 18, 2016 (volunteers will be needed; please contact the school if available).
3. Research on the 7th grade Christmas Around the World project will begin on November 14, 2016.
Standards and Assignments
8th grade students will explore the essential question, "How did the relationship between Britain and the colonies fall apart?"
7th grade students will explore China by asking the essential question, "How much does geography affect people's lives?"
